Panama Coffee, Boquete Estate
I just love coffee! Trying different types and flavors is so much fun, and delicious! Volcanicas Panama Coffee is one for the books! It is a very smooth and clean coffee. Not too much going on in this cup but pure deliciousness. So if you aren’t into a lot of flavor with your morning cup, but like a good strong coffee, this is it! With tiny hints of caramel that creep up on you, and the higher acidity, it makes for a nicely made cup of coffee. The caramel is not so overwhelming that it is all you taste though, so don’t worry, it does not take over the coffee.
Panamas Boquete Estate holds a thicker mouth feel with more acidity that you can taste. It will definitely give you the wake up call you’re looking for in the morning. I love a good flavorful cup of coffee myself, but I also love a good strong coffee. To have both in the same cup, is the perfect blend for me!
What Makes Panama Coffee, Boquete Estate Taste So Good?
Some say that Boquete Estate Coffees are among the most delicious coffees in the world. These coffees are grown in higher altitudes of Panama, which help the coffee beans grow proportionately similar to each other. This creates an extremely dense coffee bean which gives it the higher acidity, inviting aroma, and a more favorable taste. Even with the higher acidity, this does not make the coffee taste bitter like you may think. It does though, give you that kick of a stronger coffee taste.
The faint hints of caramel are exactly that, faint. Though you can taste it, it does not overwhelm the coffee by any means. I feel it actually helps dim down the acidity a bit. Without it, it would just be a super strong cup of coffee! So if you like strong coffee with a hint of flavor, or you just like strong coffee that is smooth and not bitter, I highly suggest you give this coffee a taste!
Volcanica Coffee takes pride in bringing us the finest coffees from all over the world. Their coffee is grown on coffee farms at elevation levels higher than 3,000 feet, and are grown in volcanic soil.
Why is volcanic soil good for growing coffee you ask?
Without getting all scientific on you guys, I’ll just break it down to the short version. Volcanic ash is extremely rich in minerals. When a volcano erupts, it creates volcanic ash, and the volcanic ash turns to andisols. These andisols are your volcanic soil, and quite nutritious.
The mineral rich volcanic soil, mixed with the cooler climate (from higher elevation), and constant moisture in the air, make for the perfect growing environment for some of the best coffees in the world.
