If you ask me, the fall and winter seasons are something to look forward to. Fall being my favorite of the two. All the great flavors floating around the coffee shops like pumpkin spice, apple pie, caramel spice, and caramel apple. Pulling out your favorite fleece cardigan and knitted slipper boots. The leaves turning colors and starting to hide the ground. I believe there is no better way to top off that cozy fall feeling than with a cozy fall drink!

This Spiced Caramel Apple Latte is a must have this fall season! I feel it encompasses the true feeling of fall, next to the one and only pumpkin spice! So let’s jump right in and learn how to make this deliciously cozy fall drink for you to enjoy any time you like!

What Is A Spiced Caramel Apple Latte?

A Spiced Caramel Apple Latte is a blend of two different coffee style drinks, caramel apple cider and the spiced caramel latte. Bringing the two together to create a coffee drink that is both warm and delicious, and gives you that oh so cozy fall feeling.

What Will You Need?

Let’s start with the most important component, the coffee. This is made using espresso coffee, but if you do not have an espresso machine, you can use a stronger coffee roast to give you a close second. I would stay away from flavored coffees though, so it doesn’t cover the real flavor points of the drink. A good dark roast coffee will do just fine.

You can also buy coffee beans roasted to an espresso roast level. This will be the best way to get that espresso like taste in your latte.

Next we want to talk about the flavors! There are caramel syrup, apple syrup, and cinnamon syrup in this drink. These are the stars of the drink, so make sure you are using real coffee syrups.

Choose your milk. You can use 1%, 2%, whole milk, heavy cream or half-and-half. I prefer whole milk, but heavy cream or half-and-half will give your latte a thicker mouth feel and a sweeter taste. I would say to stay away from the skim milk and the flavored milk (almond milk) as they may not do your latte any favors.

We want to taste the Spiced Caramel Apple am I right? Not the milk!

Now that we have all our components figured out, we can get to the toppings! This is where you can make your coffee drink look so good you won’t even want to mess it up! Though messing it up is the best part isn’t it!

We are going to use some whipped cream with caramel sauce drizzle, and some cinnamon powder to top this fall delight.  If you really want to get creative, top it with bits of caramel apple suckers.  Smash one sucker in a bag and sprinkle on top, or use it as a stir straw and let it melt right into your drink!

You of course as always though, can top with whatever you prefer to fit your liking.

NOTE: If you want to add a little extra spice to your Spiced Caramel Apple Latte, you can add some Apple Pie Spice to your coffee grounds before you brew your pot! How creative is that!

How to make a Spiced Caramel Apple Latte:

Here is a simple Step by Step:

  • Make your coffee and let it brew. 2 oz. espresso OR 1/2 cup strongly brewed coffee.
  • While your coffee is brewing you can start heating your milk. Use 3/4 cup of your choice of milk or cream.
  • Add your flavored syrups to your milk while it is heating. 1 tablespoon caramel syrup, 1 1/2 teaspoons apple syrup, 1/4 oz OR splash of cinnamon syrup. Be careful to not use too much cinnamon as it is a strong flavor and will over power the drink. Mix well.
  • Once the milk is heated and the coffee is done brewing, pour the milk into the coffee.
  • Now you can add your whipped cream, caramel sauce and cinnamon powder, or any other toppings you’d like.

  1. I love fall for a various of reasons. Not only that the clothes are super cute and I get to eat enough anything apple or pumpkin till the next year but I get to spend time with my family. That caramel spiced apple latte sounds so perfect for this weather right now. Thanks for sharing the recipes and what to buy. I am so gonna make this as soon as I get all the ingredients. Maybe I can put a little spiced rum in it lol.

    • Yes I also absolutely love the fall season! With all the colors and flavors out there to enjoy, it is a very warming and cozy season for me.  I love how you got creative and mentioned adding rum.  This is something I plan on adding to the site in the future.  Coffee with Alcohol!  For those, I really don’t want to adult days!
